What types of trips do you plan?

Va Bene plans thoughtfully designed trips for couples, families, and groups—from honeymoons and milestone celebrations to European escapes, resort stays, cruises, and custom itineraries. My specialties include Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, France, Mexico, and the Caribbean, with a focus on beautiful hotels, memorable meals, and experiences with a true sense of place.

How does the planning process work?

Every trip begins with a conversation. After reviewing your inquiry, I’ll learn more about your travel style, priorities, budget, and vision before recommending the right level of support. From there, I’ll handle the research, recommendations, and planning included in your selected service while keeping you involved in the decisions that matter.

When should I reach out?

The earlier, the better—especially for peak travel seasons, popular European destinations, cruises, milestone trips, and larger groups. You don’t need to have every detail decided before reaching out. A general destination, preferred timeframe, and starting budget are enough to begin the conversation.

Can you work with a trip I’ve already started planning?

Absolutely. If you’ve already booked part of your trip, I may still be able to help with the remaining details through one of Va Bene’s planning services. Reservations made elsewhere will generally remain with the original booking source, but I’ll clarify what I can support before we begin.

Which service is right for me?

Hotel & Cruise Booking is ideal when you have firm dates and already know which hotel, resort, or cruise you would like to book. The Lookbook, starting at $150, is designed for travelers who want a thoughtfully curated shortlist of options. Custom Travel Design, starting at $500, provides the most comprehensive support for a personalized, multi-layered itinerary. If you’re unsure, I’ll recommend the best fit after reviewing your inquiry.

How are planning fees handled?

Planning fees reflect the time, research, expertise, and personalized attention required to thoughtfully design your trip. Your exact fee will be confirmed before planning begins and will depend on the service and complexity of your itinerary. Hotel & Cruise Booking is complimentary when you have firm dates and a selection in mind; The Lookbook starts at $150, and Custom Travel Design starts at $500.

Can you work within my budget?

I’ll shape my recommendations around the budget you share while being honest about what is realistic for your destination, dates, and priorities. Open communication helps me focus your investment on the details that matter most and recommend thoughtful alternatives when adjustments are needed.

Do you book flights?

Flights can be part of our planning conversation. Depending on your destination, routing, and selected service, I’ll explain what support I can provide and what may be best booked directly. That way, responsibilities and expectations are clear before planning begins.

What happens if plans change?

If something changes, reach out as soon as possible. For reservations made through Va Bene, I’ll help review the available options and coordinate with the appropriate travel partners when applicable. Any changes, refunds, or cancellation fees will remain subject to the individual supplier’s policies.

Will I have support while traveling?

You won’t be left wondering who to contact. For trips booked or planned through Va Bene, you’ll receive clear final details and guidance about the appropriate point of contact if questions arise before or during your travels. The exact level of support depends on the service and reservations involved and will be explained before we begin.
